Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll mahogany mantel clock with eglomise panel depicting a white columned house, likely Mount Vernon. 30 day movement, painted clock face with gilt and floral decoration, brass fittings, finials and pendulum, with iron weights. Retains the original interior label. Circa 1835. 29" H x 17 1/4" W x 4 1/2" D. Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. CONDITION: Old repaired breaks to crests. Eglomise panel likely replaced/repainted. Works not tested or guaranteed.
