Carroll Cloar (Tennessee, 1913-1993) pencil signed screenprint, “Panther Bourne.” Six panthers stand or lie in a field of tall grass while colorful flowers bloom in the foreground. After the artist’s 1969 painting of the same name. Signed in pencil lower right and editioned “A/C” (possibly indicating one of three proofs) lower left. Outside the numbered edition of 450. Housed under acrylic in a wooden parcel gilt frame. Sight: 24 in. H x 31 1/2 in. W. Framed: 26 in. H x 33 2/4 in. W. Second half of 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Acquired from the artist, thence by descent.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Not examined out of frame.
