Large Persian Heriz rug or carpet, wool on cotton. Large central medallion having a red ground with various foliate and palmette designs flanked by ivory and red ground foliate spandrels, all within three primary borders. Woven in red, blue, gold, brown, green, and cream colors. 11 ft. x 7 ft. 7 in. 2nd half 20th century.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Losses to fringe, light even pile wear, and losses/wear to selvage. Professional cleaning is recommended due to retained grime and dirt.
