Southern brown painted mantel with four large panels across the frieze, the far left panel painted with two doves the far right with a quail and three chicks; the central opening flanked by two side panels. Poplar secondary wood. 59"H x 67"W x 11"D. Firebox opening is 32"H x 41 1/2"W. Virginia, mid 19th century. Provenance – Lexington, Kentucky area collection.
