Kentucky Sheraton walnut chest of drawers of small size, walnut case with walnut figured drawer fronts and inlaid escutcheons, reeded stiles, four graduated dovetailed drawers with cockbeading, ring and spike turned feet. Paneled sides and back. Poplar secondary. 41 1/8"H x 39 3/4"W x 19"D. Second quarter of the 19th century, Kentucky. Provenance – Lexington, Kentucky area collection. Condition: Older refinish, some missing veneer on drawer dividers, some drawer sides built up and some drawer supports replaced, locks missing on two top drawers, rear right foot with glue evidence indicating previously broken, replaced oval pulls, various abrasions to case.
