1st item: Staffordshire pearlware Biblical figure of Elijah being fed by the raven, overglaze enamel painted decoration on a square base, possibly Enoch Wood (see Pat Halfpenny, English Earthware Figures, p. 202 for identical figure). 9-1/2"H. 2nd and 3rd items: Pair of Biblical themed figures attributed to Ralph Salt including man with ravens and woman with child (possibly Elijah and the Widow). Both with overglaze enamel decoration and classical plinth bases with acanthus molded leaves at corners. 10-1/2"H. All English, circa 1800-1830. Provenance: the estate of Elsie Seabrook, Tunica, Mississippi. Wood figure purchased Angela Walker, London. Condition: All with moderate wear/losses to overglaze enamels, particularly on backs, scattered chips and losses to bocage. Wood's Elijah figure has minute chips to base and missing wing tip on raven, blacklight shows restored hand. Salt's Elijah figure is missing hand and has 1/2" firing crack to underside; female figure is missing the item in her hand and has chips to fingers; child is missing hand.
