Chinese porcelain candle stand, comprised of a bowl shaped top and base joined by a tapering pedestal decorated with birds, fruits and peony branches and a calligraphy inscription. Sticker affixed to side attributes it to the Tao-Kwang period (1821-1850). 10 1/2"H. CONDITION: Some wear to overglaze elements of decoration, some black marks to exterior of bowl (possibly remnants of old calligraphy).
