18th century Chinese Export Famille Rose porcelain planter or jardiniere, square form raised conforming tray base with reservoir. Enameled vignette decoration to the sides depicting Western figures drinking tea and playing instruments, base with red and gilt honeycomb pattern decoration. 5 3/4" H x 10 1/4" D x 10 1/4" W. Late 18th century. CONDITION: Corners of tray with old repairs indicating the loss of the original finials. Chipping to one top corner edge. Old firing flaws and 3/4" firing crack in the making to interior. Possibly missing a cover.
