Early Chinese, possibly Ming Dynasty, polychrome and gilt bronze Meditation Buddha, seated in a double lotus position wearing a crown with both hands in his lap holding a vessel, elongated earlobes, and adorned with a full-length robe, necklace, and five-pointed crown, all atop with lotus base with lotus flowers to each side. Later fitted wood stand included. 6 3/8" H x 5 3/4" W (excluding stand).
PROVENANCE: Private Chattanooga area collection, acquired about 20 years ago from a family that acquired it from a relative who had lived in China.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with expected wear. Two of the crown points with glued tips.
