Two (2) Chinese enameled snuff bottles. 1st item: Chinese Famille Rose snuff bottle, flattened round form, with enamel over copper decoration depicting young boys in a landscape setting reading to one side and a female reading in a landscape setting to the other side. Base with blue seal mark. 2 3/4″ H. 2nd item: Chinese enamel on copper snuff bottle, flattened vase form, with alternating blue and green enameled band decoration and repousse figural and animal decoration. 3 1/4″ H. Both Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Franklin, TN collection, by descent from Norman and Martha Stein Dickson, who owned an antiques store at 732-736 Royal Street in New Orleans from the 1950s until their deaths in the 1970s.
CONDITION: Both bottles overall very good condition.
