7 advertising/landmark related art works by James Albert Caulfield III (Michigan/Tennessee, 1946 -2010): Six (6) ink drawings of restaurant landmarks including Court Cafe, Carolyn's Fried Chicken, Cherokee theater, Memphis Belle, Fish Delite, Uncle Bill's Catfish, Chicken & Such and one (1) oil watercolor and ink painting depicting the business landmark Crown Cleaning Laundry. All items unframed. Sizes range from 8 1/4" H x 12" W to 20" H x 14 7/8" W. All late 20th century. (Biography Ð James Albert Caulfield III was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived most of his early life in East Lansing until he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1985. As a child he loved to draw and sketch and received formal art training at Michigan State University and Lansing Community College. He trained and worked as an illustrator and commercial artist and painted with watercolor and gouache in a "realistic controlled manner". In both Michigan and Knoxville he featured the local and regional material, people and places in his work.) Condition: All very good condition.
