Four (4) Aviation related works by James Albert Caulfield III (Michigan/Tennessee, 1946 -2010) including one large oil and gouache depiciting two flying Corsair fighter planes, one framed oil and gouache depiciting a Russian fighter plane and jet plane, one oil and gouache depicting a vintage plane named "Snafu Snatchers" and one ink drawing depicting a Powell, TN 1930 filling station in the shape of a vintage plane (dated 1999). Sizes range from 13 1/4" H x 14 1/2 W to 20" H x 35" W. All late 20th century. Biography Ð James Albert Caulfield III was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived most of his early life in East Lansing until he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1985. As a child he loved to draw and sketch and received formal art training at Michigan State University and Lansing Community College. He trained and worked as an illustrator and commercial artist and painted with watercolor and gouache in a "realistic controlled manner". In both Michigan and Knoxville he featured the local and regional material, people and places in his work. Condition: All very good condition.
