Steinway and Sons, New York, Model B Grand piano, ebonized case over tapered legs terminating into block feet and mounted with castors. Serial #496359 indicating a manufacture date circa 1985. Includes a Paul L. Jansen and Son black leather upholstered adjustable bench of similar design. Piano: 38 1/2" H x 58" W x 83" (6' 11") L. Bench: 18 1/4" H x 24 1/2" W x 16 1/2" D.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Margaret Harold Roberts, Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
CONDITION: Professionally tuned on 4/18/22. One key required minor adjustment. Pins are good and there are no apparent problems with the action. Three visible minor separations (minor cracking) in the soundboard, one visible from underneath. There are no tuning or vibration issues manifesting from the separations at this time. Case with some scattered wear and light scratching to the top and sides. Fitted with a dampp-chaser Model H-5 Humidistat, not tested for functionality and missing water tank.
