Cole Golf Tournament at Belle Meade Country Club, “Runner Up of 1st Flight won by Albert J. Wheeler”. 9 1/2 in. Diameter. 2nd item: Wallace Sterling Goblet engraved for the 1930 Whiteford R. Cole Low Net Golf Tournament at Belle Meade Country Club, no winner’s name noted. 5 7/8 in. H. 3rd item: Gorham/Durgin sterling pitcher, engraved “Winner Second Flight City Championship 1926 won by Albert Wheeler”. 8 3/8 in. H. 4th item: Clarence A. Vanderbilt sterling silver trumpet vase, engraved to foot: “Winner Junior Championship 1927”, no winner’s name noted. Filled base. 10 in. H. 5th item: Trumpet vase with engraved inscription to side, “Richland Golf Club 1927 Club Champion Albert Wheeler”. Stamped “Sterling / 200” to underside. 12 in. H. Combined weighable sterling: 54.07 oz troy. Second quarter 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee Collection.
CONDITION: All items with some degree of staining from being previously stored in plastic wrap. Vanderbilt vase base with some scattered pitting. Pitcher has denting to base. Richland Golf Club vase has some persistent plastic residue stuck to side.
