William Mellor (United Kingdom, 1851-1931), oil on canvas painting, Pecca Falls, Ingleton, titled en verso, signed lower left. Old shipping label on back. Original gilt and molded frame: 23-1/8" H x 17-3/8" W; sight: 17-1/4" H x 11-1/2" W. Biography: William Mellor was a Yorkshire-born landscape painter, who specialized in views of Wales and England's West Country. He is known for his meticulous depiction of trees and foliage; waterfalls were a favorite subject. Provenance: Estate of Mary Johnson, Nashville, TN. Condition: Overall very good condition. Minor cracks in frame.
