Durgin sterling sterling flatware set, Marechal Niel pattern, 87 total pieces, including 23 hollow handle knives with Old French blades (8 1/2" L), 11 dinner forks (7 5/8" L), 11 dessert forks (7" L), 10 dessert spoons (7" L), 10 tablespoons (8" L), 9 soup spoons (6 3/4" L), 7 teaspoons (5 3/4" L), 1 demitasse spoon, 1 pickle fork, and a 3-piece carving set. Set also includes a S. Kirk & Son sterling Repousse pattern cold meat fork. All pieces monogrammed with presentation inscription en verso "KCS from CCS 1904". All housed in the original Black, Starr & Frost retailer custom box, 5" H x 16" W x 13" D. All pieces: 113.26 total troy ounces. Provenance: Baltimore estates of Virginia Howard Miller (c. 1880-1946) and Hugh Purviance King (1873-1966) passed down to present Living Estate of Virginia Johnston, Chattanooga, TN. CONDITION: One teaspoon bowl dented. Oxidation to blades/tines on carving set. All remaining pieces very good condition. All pieces monogrammed with presentation inscription en verso.
