Pair of Chinese Export Famille Rose porcelain vases, converted to lamps, bottle form with cartouche decoration depicting courtiers seated at a table writing poetry, four on each lamp, on a rust-colored ground with floral, fruit, and insect decoration. Vases and molded black bases drilled to wire for electricity, brass colored metal caps. 25 1/4″ H x 5 1/2″ W. 20th century. Provenance: the estate of Capt. L. Bush Cole, Nashville, Tennessee (formerly of Texas). CONDITION: Working condition. Surface grime on vases.
