Two 17th century Old Master etchings, Rubens and Valckert. 1st item: "Five Lions and a Lioness," 1646 etching on laid paper, engraved by Wenceslaus Hollar (London, 1607-1677) after Peter Paul Rubens (Flemish, 1577-1640). Later ebonized frame with black and red mats. 5-5/8" x 8-1/4" plate size, 7-3/8" x 10" sheet size, 11-5/8" x 14-3/8" framed. 2nd item: "The Good Samaritan," Werner Van Den Valckert (Dutch, 1583-1627), etching on laid paper with publisher's name. Possibly second state. 9-1/2" x 12-1/4" sheet, 12" x 14-3/4" matted. Condition: 1st print: light toning and foxing, 3-1/4" x 1/4" area of loss to lower left edge. 2nd print: margins trimmed, glued to a decorative mat. Light toning and scattered small stains/foxing.
