Civil War era Colt Model 1862 Police Pocket Revolver, .36 caliber, serial number 19614, serial numbers match, except for 9879 to wedge. Barrel marked "Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America," left side of frame marked "Colts Patent," left side of trigger guard stamped "36 CAL", cylinder stamped "PAT. SEPT 10TH 1850". Walnut stocks, round barrel, fluted cylinder, brass trigger guard and back strap, iron mounted with nickel finish, checkered hammer, brass bead front sight, loading lever. Barrel length: 4 1/2". Overall length: 9 1/2". Serial number corresponds to year 1863. Note: Recorded caliber measurement taken by a gun bore gauge was .38 Cal.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with dark patina to metal, some surface scratches, dings. Stocks with dings, minor areas of loss, largest 3/8". Action holds at full cock. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Wedge is a replacement.
