Lot 671: 3 Antique Turkmen Yomud Weavings Incl. Chuvals & Floor Rug

Three (3) antique Turkmen Yomud or Yomut weavings, all wool on wool and woven in colors of red, blue, and cream, including: two Chuval weavings with central gul designs, 3 ft. 8 in. x 2 ft. 9 in. and 4 ft. 5 in. x 2 ft. 9 in.) and a floor rug with central stylized geometric designs within three primary borders, 5 ft. 8 in. x 3 ft. 6 in. All last quarter 19th century.

PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.

CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition, losses to the ends. 2nd item: Losses and wear to both sides. 3rd item: Overall, even wear. Patch repair to center, approx 2 in. x 6 in.
