Civil War era Colt Navy Model 1851 Revolver, 4th Model, .36 caliber, serial number 147429, all visible serial numbers matching. Barrel marked "–Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America–" , left side of frame marked "Colts Patent,", left side of trigger guard marked ".36 CAL". Walnut stocks, octagonal barrel, Republic of Texas Navy and Mexican Navy naval scene engraving on cylinder, brass trigger guard and back strap, iron mounted with nickel finish, checkered hammer, standard front sight, loading lever. Barrel length: 7 1/2". Overall length: 13". Serial number corresponds to year 1863. Note: Recorded caliber measurement by a gun bore gauge was .40 Cal.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with very light pepper pitting, dings to metal. Light surface wear to stocks. Naval engraving is visible. Bore with visible rifling. Action holds at full and half cock.
