Early Native American Cherokee double weave rivercane low basket, rectangular form with walnut dyed weavers. 6" H x 18" W x 11 1/2" D. Mid-19th century. CONDITION: Slight warpage, various losses to rim, 3 1/2" diagonal break to one corner, losses to 2 corners and scattered losses to base. Old surface grime throughout.
