European, likely English, gentlemen's gun cane or swagger stick, .42 caliber, breech load with drop down trigger. Comprised of a brass handle and tapered and segmented wood veneer shaft, fitted with a wood ferrule cap. Unmarked. 23 1/2" L. 2nd half 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Dr. Andrew Wilkerson, by descent from the estate of Vernon and Vicki Meche, Iron City, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Not tested for functionality.
