Two (2) antique Yomud or Yomut Turkmen Chuval rugs, wool on wool, including one with four rows of four guls on a stylized ground and plain lower elem panel within three primary borders, and one with three (3) rows of three guls with foliate lower elem panel within one primary border. Both rugs are woven in colors of red, blue, and cream. 4 ft. 9 in. x 2 ft. 10 in. and 4 ft. 1 in. x 2 ft. 10 in. Both circa 1890s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Both overall good condition with even wear and losses to fringed ends.
