Reproduction Italian Colt Model 1851 Navy black powder percussion revolver, .36 caliber, serial number 18171, all visible serial numbers matching, slightly truncated on back strap. Barrel marked "Address Saml Colt New York City", frame under cylinder marked "Colts Patent". Walnut stocks, octagonal barrel, steel furniture and mountings, checkered hammer, loading lever, brass front sight, naval scene engraving on cylinder. Housed in a fitted wooden case with red velvet interior with three (3) reproduction Italian accessories, inlcuding one (1) powder flask, one (1) .36 caliber bullet mold, and one (1) nipple wrench. Barrel length: 7 1/2". Overall length: 13". Case: 2 1/2" H x 16 1/8" W x 7 3/4" D.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with blue remianing on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, very minor surface scratches. Case in overall good condition with minor abrasions.
