Lot of 4 Stoneware Pottery Items. 1ST ITEM – Stoneware preserving jar stenciled in cobalt "A. P. Donaghho, Parkersburg W.Va.". Incised line around upper section just under the flaring rim. Overall very good condition. Alexander PolkDonaghho moved to Parkersburg in 1890 and started the A. P. Donaghho Pottery company. Donaghho died in 1899 and the company went out of business around 1903. Excellent condition. 7 3/4" H. Late 19th century. 2ND ITEM – Slip glazed stonewarepottery jug, most likely Mid-Atlantic. Overall cracklure to glaze. 9 1/4" H. Condition – Chips to rim, handle, shoulder and base. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 3RD ITEM – Small stoneware pottery jug, possibly Middle Tennessee. Excellentcondition. 5 1/2" H. Early 20th century. 4TH ITEM – Mid – Atlantic salt-glazed stoneware preserving jar, flaring rim with cobalt decoration, incised line around upper shoulder, cobalt feather design with two cobalt lines below. Overall very goodcondition with some hairline cracks. 9 1/2" H. Later 19th century.
