Lot of 3 early English books. 1st item – The City Remembrancer, Vol. II, printed in 1769, describing the historical narratives of the Great Plague at London in 1665, the Great Fire in 1666, and the Great Storm in 1703. Compiled by Dr. Harvey, his Majesty's physician and printed for W. Nicoll, in St. Paul's churchyard. Condition – Wear and losses to leather cover. Front cover detached from spine. Some spotting and browning to interior pages. 8 1/2" H x 5 1/4" W. English, 18th century. 2nd item – Echard's History of England, printed in 1718, Volume II, detailing the "History of England from the first entrance of Julius Caesar and the Romans to the end of the Reign of King James the First". Written by Laurence Echard, London. Title printed in red and black. Condition – Wear and losses to leather cover with some spine separation. Owners' names written in ink on interior. Slight browning to page edges. 14" H x 9" W. English, 18th century. 3rd item – Echard's History of England, printed in 1718, Volume III, detailing the "History of England from the Restoration of King Charles II, to the conclusion of the reign of King James II, and the establishment of King William and Queen Mary".
