Eight (8) Leon Rene Pescheret (Wisconsin/Illinois/Arizona/England, 1892-1971) etchings, most depicting scenes of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, including three (3) color etchings, including one (1) titled "Winter" depicting a large tree and farm house in the background covered in snow under a blue sky, one (1) also titled 'Winter" depicting a similar farm scene with a red barn, and one (1) titled "End of Summer" with two houses along a road under trees with colorful foliage; and five (5) black and white etchings of the Great Smoky Mountains including one (1) titled "The Chimney Top" depicting a large rock formation and family of black bears, one (1) titled "Mt. Leconte #2" depicting a farmhouse with chickens and mountain scenery in the background, one (1) titled "Over Fightin Creek. Tenn" depicting a suspension bridge expanding over a creek with a farmhouse and landscape in the background, one (1) title "Up Turkey Nest Way" depicting a suspension bridge and farmhouse in the mid ground and mountain scenery in the background, and one (1) titled "The Little Pigeon in the Great Smokies. Tenn." depicting a flowing river with rocks surrounded by trees and foliage. All initialed "LRP" or signed in plate and pencil signed lower right. All housed and matted in contemporary chrome frames under glass. Sights ranging from 6 1/2" H x 7 1/2" W to 14" H x 11" W. Framed: 12 1/4" H x 13 1/4" W to 22 1/4" H x 8 1/4" W.
CONDITION: Some with toning and slight waviness to paper. Otherwise in very good condition, not examined outside of frames.
