Albert Sorkau (France, 1874-1951) Oil on canvas painting, titled "The Linen Room". An interior scene depicting two women smiling as they fold white sheets. Signed "Sorkau" lower right. Housed in gilt carved frame, labeled "The Linen Room" lower left and "A. Sorkau" lower right. Sight – 17 3/4" H x 21 3/8" W. Framed – 24 7/8" H x 28 3/8" W. Proceeds to benefit the Knoxville Museum of Art acquisition fund. CONDITION: Craquelure on surface of painting. Gilt frame has losses to corners. Painting slightly loose in frame.
