Linvel Barker (Kentucky, 1929-2004) pine and basswood carved folk art figural tableau comprised of a lumberjack holding an axe in one hand and mule reigns in the other, standing next to a sled with stacked logs secured and pulled by metal chains that are attached to the mule's harness. Signed and dated "L. Barker 7-92", underside of base. 12 3/8" H x 26 3/8" W x 11 1/4" D. Late 20th century. CONDITION: Overall good condition. Lumberjack and wagon secured to base, mule's hooves have become separated from base. 1/2" break to horse's right ear.
