Antique Caucasian three-color Shirvan area rug, 57" x 45", wool on wool, three small medallions, muted tones of gold, tan, cream and brown highlighted by blues with a knotted fringe at both ends. Early 20th century. Provenance: the collection of Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Slaymaker, Nashville, Tennessee. Purchased from Ran Harris Oriental Rug Co., Nashville, TN in 1985. CONDITION: Overall even low pile. Some breaks in fringe.
