Grouping of eighteen (18) Civil War era related items, possibly Nashville area battlefield pickups, including: two (2) relic firearms, including one (1) Springfield Model 1835 flintlock musket; three (3) 1862 Mississippi obsolete currency notes, including one (1) $10 State of Mississippi note, serial number 739575, issued November 1, 1862; one (1) $5 State of Mississippi note, serial number 62838, issued November 1, 1862; and one (1) $1 Mississippi Central Rail-Road Company, serial number 23967, issued January 1, 1862; thirteen (13) dug relic items, including two (2) small handguns, six (6) assorted firearm parts, three (3) bullet molds, one (1) spur, and one (1) round bullet.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Firearms and firearm-related items are in relic, dug condition. Currency notes in circulated condition.
