Large coin silver soup or punch ladle and six tablespoons, all marked for Frederick Marquand, working Savannah, Georgia 1819-1826 and New York City 1826-1839. Ladle has shell back and script monogram B; spoons have sheaf of wheat design to ends of handles and are monogrammed "E. Wells." Marked FM in rectangle with Leopard head, lion passant and bust pseudo hallmarks. Ladle 14 1/2"L. Combined weight: 20.34 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with light wear, scattered minor dents and scratching. Spoons with a few occasional spots of pitting.
