Grouping of three (3) East Tennessee pottery jugs. 1st item – Large stoneware jug with incised lines around upper shoulder and two cobalt brushed spots. Pulled handle joins to rim. 16"H. Late 19th century, possibly Greene or Washington Co. 2nd item – Stoneware jug with multi-channel extruded handle similar to marked jugs of the Weaver pottery, Knoxville, TN. Straight sided walls, red color clay. 10"H. Late 19th century. 3rd item – Large jug with opposing strap handles, incised 4 gallon capacity mark. 18"H. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance: Betty Irene Yates estate, Greeneville, TN. Condition: 1st item – chip to rim edge. 2nd item – tight hairline to base of jug. 3rd item – chip to one handle edge, shallow scrapes around rim.
