Antique Caucasian Kuba area rug, 69-1/2" x 45", wool on wool, allover floral field, colors of salmon, russet, blue, green, gold, cream, brown and ink blue. 1st quarter 20th century. Provenance: the collection of Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Slaymaker, Nashville, Tennessee. Purchased from Joseph Shaia Oriental Rug Co. of Williamsburg, VA and Franklin, TN in 1978. CONDITION: Center field with wear, some to warp and weft. One corner with losses.
