Thacher apothecary of Nashville. 1st item: 1867 United States of America State of Tennessee One Thousand Dollar bond note. Issued to Louisville and Nashville Railroad, January 1, 1867. Serial # 7504. Signed by Governor William G. Brownlow and Secretary of State A. J. Fletcher. Includes forty-three (43) intact coupons. 23" H x 14" W. 2nd item: John Overton signed bank check, $50 payable to John Coffee from the bank of Nashville, dated March 13th 1812, punched with "X" marks. 6 1/2" W x 2 1/4". 3rd item: 1854 Nashville Life and General Insurance Co. $1 note, Henry Clay pictured in left vignette, along with frolicking horses in center and train in lower right. 7 1/4" W 3 1/4" H. 4th item: 1854 Nashville Life and General Insurance Co. $2 note, Andrew Jackson in left vignette, wandering cows in center and laborers lower left. 7 1/4" W 3 1/4" H. 5th item: 1854 Tennessee Mechanics of Bank Memphis Five Dollar note- issued May 31st, 1854, Serial # 1360. CONDITION: Bond in very good, crisp condition, slight tearing along center of folds. Insurance notes (items 3 and 4) fair circulated condition. Mechanics Bank notes (items 5 and 6) in good, circulated condition. Apothecary certificate (item 7) with tape remainders.
