Large oil on canvas depicting a landscape with cows drinking from a stream. Unsigned but believed to be by Timur Akhriev (b. 1983, Russia/Tennessee). Housed in a gilt wooden frame. Sight – 35 1/8" H x 23 1/4" W. Framed – 45" H x 33" W. 20th century. Biography: Timur Akhriev is a Russian born artist who currently works and resides in Tennessee. He immigrated to Chattanooga, Tennessee to live with his father, Daud Akhriev, a well known Russian-trained artist who graduated from the famed Repin Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia. In Chattanooga, Timur graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Fine Arts program. Provenance: Estate of Bill Selden, Athens, TN. Condition: Overall excellent condition with some slight abrasions to frame.
