Two (2) jacquard coverlets. 1st item: Wool and cotton coverlet woven in shades of purple, blue, red and ivory, two piece construction, with scroll, star and cartouche designs. 81 1/2" H x 67" W. 2nd item: Cotton or cotton and wool coverelet woven in shades of dark blue, light blue and red in a medallion and stripe pattern with rosette border. 81" H x 71" W. Both American, mid 19th century. Provenance: Private Brentwood, TN collection. CONDITION: 1st item: Some wear/fading along quarter folds, stains up to 12" diameter, some fringe loss. 2nd item: Several areas of fringe loss, otherwise very good condition.
