A collection of approximately 1000 US Postage Stamps, from 1847-2008, housed in a Mystic American Heirloom Collection album, with numerous key stamps. Some notable items from the collection include: (Scott Catalog #s) #1 1847 Franklin 5c (3 margin); #2 1847 Washington 10c 4 margin red cancel; #9 1852 Franklin 1c (3 margin); #10 1851 Washington 3c Orange Brown (UL corner fault); #11 1851 Washington 3c Dull Red (LL corner fault); #24 1857 1c (perfs cut design at bottom); #25 1857 3c Type I (pen cancel) and #25A Type II. Many 1850-60s but incomplete; Columbians complete to $1 (which is well centered, unused, no gum); 1901 Pan American set (unused). Many Washington-Franklins including coils, imperfs and $2 (red) and $5. 1926 White Plains (MNH); COMPLETE 1929 Kansas & Nebraska overprints. Most of the 20th Century is present, with some early values absent; the album is complete from Series of 1923-26 to the end.
PROVENANCE: By descent from the estate of Stanley Horn, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1929 Kansas Overprints most unhinged, Nebraska overprints all hinged, neither checked to determine genuineness.
