A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School of Communication, Ms. Rubenstein was a professional photographer specializing in images of celebrities ranging from John Lennon, Janis Joplin and Andy Warhol to Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton. Her work appeared in Rolling Stone, Life, People, and most recently the Ken Burns documentary, Country Music.
