2 Mississippian greyware bowls including one with effigy handles and and the other with a fish design. 1st item – Mississippian greyware bowl with serpent effigy handles including one handle in the shape of a head and the second handle in the shape of a coiled tail. Beaded rim with incised vertical lines. 12" length from handle to handle, 6 3/8" height. 2nd item – Mississippian greyware fish effigy bowl with applied horizontal lines around the sides of the bowl. 5 1/2" diameter x 2 1/2" height. Property of an East Tennessee Educational Institution. Condition: 1st item – bowl was broken in the past and has been glued with minimal losses to edges of pieces. 2nd item – bowl with a couple of old glued breaks to the side, minor losses to rim edge.
