Vintage Fender Princeton Reverb silverface tube guitar amplifier, original Fender blue label 10" speaker, Serial # A954565, Push/Pull volume boost switch, and Tremolo/Reverb on/off footswitch. 16" H x 20" W x 9 3/4" D. Serial number dates to 1979. Note: Fender began production on the Princeton Reverb in 1964, a 12-watt tube amp with 10" speaker with built-in tremolo and reverb functions, essentially a student amp for home use. Produced with a Blackface control panel until 1967, they switched to a Silverface version in 1968. Fender also made sweeping changes in circuitry in the late 1960's along with the introduction of the Silverface style, changing the sound somewhat. The Princeton Reverb gained a push/pull volume boost in 1977. The amp remained in constant production until 1980 when a few Blackfaces were made before the line was discontinued in 1981 to bring in the Princeton Reverb II.
CONDITION: Powers up when plugged in and is functional, typical scratchiness in pots, reverb footswitch does not turn reverb on. Complete functionality is not guaranteed. Scattered oxidation to metal knobs and fittings. Wear to corners.
