Allan Edgar Kramer (California, 1903 – 1987) oil on canvas portrait of an unidentified young woman attired in a white dress, against a green background. Signed "Allan Edgar Kramer" upper left. Housed in a gilt wooden frame. Sight – 23 1/2" H x 17 3/8" W. Framed – 26 1/2" H x 20 3/8" W. 20th century. Biography: Kramer was born in Missouri and moved to California as a young man. While working in Riverside as a shoemaker in the 1930s, he painted in his leisure. He then spent time in Yosemite painting portraits of tourists.
