Two Aesthetic Movement fireplace fenders. 1st item: Large Aesthetic Movement brass fireplace fender, the center three panels highlighted with hammered foliate and bird decoration, framed by turned pilasters, corners and sides with pierced foliate panels, corners highlighted by turned finials, 5 3/4" H at center, 8" H side and corners, 13 3/8" H at finials, 71" W x 16 1/4" D. Late 19th century. 2nd item: Aesthetic Movement brass fireplace fender, overall pierced decoration, turned half-columns corners with urn finials, 4 3/4" H at center, 7 1/4" H at finial x 51" W x 11 3/8" W frame; (51 3/4" W x 11 5/8" W including corner columns). Late 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: Estate of Bill Zarnon, Gatlinburg, Tenn. Condition: 1st item: Surface grime, minor oxidation and rust spots. 2nd item: Minor pitting and scattered oxidation/rust. Surface grime.
