Six (6) Tennessee Split Oak Baskets. 1st item: Tennessee split oak buttocks basket with finely woven weavers and nailed construction. 9 /12" H x 12 1/2" W x 10 1/2" D. 2nd item: Tennessee round split oak handled basket with traces of red paint with indented center. 6 1/2" H x 7" D. 3rd-6th items: Group of four (4) miniature Tennessee split oak baskets, three with traces of paint or paint decorated, the natural basket attributed to Harold R. Evans. Ranging in size from 1 3/4" H x 2" D to 3 3/4" H x 4 7/8" D. Late 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: Nancy Walton Collection, Gatlinburg, TN. CONDITION: Round basket with loss to weaver on side. Slight wear to paint on painted examples.
