THE ARMY OF TENNESSEE by Stanley Fitzgerald Horn. Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill, 1941. First Edition. Hardcover. 8vo. xiv, 503 pp. Presentation copy from Margaret Mitchell to her brother Stephens. Signed by both Horn and Margaret Mitchell: "Inscribed for / Stephens Mitchell / with best wishes of Stanley F Horn" and "To Stephens / from Margaret / Nov. 2, 1941". Note: Stephens Mitchell (1896-1983) brother to Margaret Mitchell, was a renowned Atlanta attorney. After Margaret's and her husband's (John Marsh) deaths, Stephens was named heir of Margaret Mitchell's estate. After Stephens' death in 1983, the estate was passed on to his two sons Eugene and Joseph Mitchell.

CONDITION: Dust jacket absent; light foxing throughout, stains to fore-edge.
