English 18K pocket aneroid compensated barometer and altimeter. Drum form comprised of a silvered dial marked with barometric range from 23-31 inches of mercury, meteorological headings "Rain," "Change," "Fair", altimeter readings and an open center revealing the works. Additionally marked "Compensated" lower edge. Outer edge of 18K case marked 750 and back of case with shield and foliate engraving. Approx. 1" dia. Late 19th century.
CONDITION: Case overall good condition with light scratching and minor pitting. Barometer functioning at time of inspection.
