Bradford, published by the Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C., ca. 1845. Lithographed survey map depicting Choctaw and Chickasaw cessions after The Indian Removal Act of 1830. Title, top right, key, lower left. Housed and double matted under glass in a giltwood frame with red oxide primer. Sight: 16 5/8" H x 11 3/4" W. Framed: 24 3/8" H x 19 1/2" W. 2nd item: SANDWICH ISLES OR HAWAIIAN ARCHIPELAGO map, lithography by Edward Weller, from Cassels's WEEKLY DISPATCH ATLAS, London, circa 1862. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition. Not examined outside of frames. 1st item: Fold lines, areas of toning/acid burn primarily to edges. Frame with minor abrasions. 2nd item: Map has been cut down. 1 1/4" x 1/2" area of loss with radiating tears and dampstaining, lower left corner (slightly affects image). Toning. 3rd item: Scattered foxing spots, primarily top left.
