Group of Seminole type and Southeastern Native american baskets plus group of clay marbles. Baskets include: Woven palm frond female figure, 18-1/2" H; Small pine needle and raffia twine woven lidded basket with 2 handles; Small oval woven ash and pine needle basket; Wrap twine and woven market basket; and 2 southeastern Native American baskets with dyed reed weavers. 1-3/4" H to 18-1/2" H. Mid-20th century. (6 baskets) Group also includes approximately 30 clay marbles of various shades. Provenance: descendants of estate of Madge Hardin Walters, early 20th century collector and dealer of Native American and author of Early Days and Indian Ways, Westernlore Press, 1956. Condition: Scattered minor breaks.
