Mid-Atlantic or Southern percussion long rifle with tiger maple full stock, .43 caliber, octagonal barrel, unmarked lock plate,double set triggers with brass trigger guard with spur, brass butt plate and mounts, fore and rear sights, ramrod included. Barrel length – 37 3/4". Overall length – 53" L. Second quarter 19th century. Provenance: The estate of James (Jimmy) Neely, Smyrna, TN. CONDITION: Barrel has been cut down approximately 1 1/2". Rifling to bore. Bore is dirty. 1 1/2" area of loss to forearm. Dings, scratches, few minor cracks to stock.
